This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") applies to the SensioLabs University service ("Service") provided by SensioLabs SAS (a company registered in France under company number RCS Nanterre 752 893 842) whose registered office is located at 163 quai du Docteur Dervaux, CS 70060, 92 665 Asnières-sur-Seine Cedex, FRANCE (herein referred as "SensioLabs", "we", "us", "our").
SensioLabs is committed to safeguarding the personal data of Users. This Privacy Policy is part of the Terms & Conditions. Each word defined in the https://university.sensiolabs.com/terms-and-conditions page has the same meaning in this document.
SensioLabs recognizes that all contractual commitment and measures defined in the present Privacy Policy constitute essential and determining conditions to the Users’ consent to access the Site.
By using the Site, Users agree to abide and be bound by this Privacy Policy, which may be modified or updated from time to time with compulsory prior notice to Users by email. This update will be displayed on the Site and Users will have to agree on the new updated Privacy Policy prior to access the Site.
SensioLabs collects and processes data that Users voluntarily provide in order to access or use its Service and data related to Users’ preferences and traffic (such as IP addresses). The purpose of this data processing is Administration of users account and online services offers platform.
Users need to open an Account and provide SensioLabs with at least the following personally identifiable data to use the Services:
Users may need to complete their profile with other personal data (such as their address) for billing purposes.
SensioLabs will never collect or process personal data pertaining to, directly or indirectly, race, health, sexual orientation, political, philosophical, or religious views.
Traffic data are generated when Users’ terminals connect to the internet and to the Site and are not sufficient alone to identify them. SensioLabs may collect via Google Analytics® the following data: origin of the connection, type and version of Users internet browser, duration of connection, etc.
Such data may be used for statistical purposes to analyze the traffic and to improve the Site. Traffic data are always processed anonymously.
SensioLabs places "cookies" on Users’ terminals to authenticate Users, record their visit and to restore their web pages when they connect with their usual computer. These small files may contain, for instance, traffic data and Users preferences.
Users may delete the cookies after their visit or configure their internet browser to prevent them.
Cookies are mandatory to use the Site and consequently must be accepted by Users.
SensioLabs collects and processes Users personal data in a fair and lawful manner and in respect of their rights. SensioLabs is the entity responsible for processing Users personal data.
The processing of Users personal data made by SensioLabs is registered with the French Registrar: "Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés" (CNIL).

The personal data that Users communicate to SensioLabs are hosted by SensioLabs. SensioLabs uses its best efforts to prevent any interference with Users personal data such as loss, diversion, intrusion, unauthorized disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Without prejudice to the following paragraph, the personal data processed by SensioLabs will be deleted three (3) months after the cancellation of Users Account.
SensioLabs is under duty keeping during one (1) year the following personal data as from the creation, change or deletion of Users Content:
At any time Users may request that their Account be cancelled (without prejudice of the above article), within the conditions and limitations stated in the Terms.
SensioLabs may send emails to Users to the address associated with their account for technical or administrative purposes or to inform Users of the evolution of its Service. SensioLabs will not send Users commercial offers unrelated to SensioLabs.
SensioLabs will never send to Users commercial email if they refused to receive it.
When SensioLabs recruits Sub-contractors to handle specific treatments activities on behalf of Users, SensioLabs commands to Sub-contractors by means of another contract the same obligations in terms of data protection as the ones set in the Privacy Policy, especially to offer sufficient guarantees regarding the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures in such a way that the treatment responds to the European Personal Data Protection Regulation obligations. When Sub-contractors do not fulfill their obligations in terms of data protection, SensioLabs remains fully accountable to Users concerning the fact that Sub-contractors have truly processed treatments related to their obligations.
SensioLabs undertakes not to share Users’ personal data with or transfer them to third parties unless to provide technical support or specific services, such as communicating with Users via live chat software or processing payment for puchases, necessary to the use of the Service. SensioLabs undertakes not to share Users’ personal data with or transfer them to third parties for other purposes than mentioned above unless they have consented prior to said sharing or transfer. SensioLabs will never share Users personal data with third parties that do not guarantee an adequate protection.
SensioLabs may provide Users personal Data if required by law or compelled by a court of law.
SensioLabs may receive personal data about Users from companies ("Integrations Partners") that grant access to our Service by way of a co-branded or private-labeled website, and technical integrations. Integration Partners may supply us with Users personal data, such as name and e-mail and mailing address information, in order to help us establish an Account or fulfill orders.
SensioLabs, and any other person having access to Integration Partners Personal Data acting on the authority of SensioLabs, commit to process Partners’ Personal Data Client only if the Partner has documented the instruction, including everything is related to Personal Data transfers to a third party country or an international organization, unless SensioLabs has the obligation to do so in virtue of the European Union law or the Member State law to which SensioLabs is subject; in that case, SensioLabs informs the Partner about this legal obligation before processing data, unless the related law forbids such information for serious general interest reasons.
SensioLabs immediately informs the Partner if, according to us, an instruction from the latter constitutes a violation to the European Personal Data Protection Regulation.
SensioLabs takes the necessary action in virtue of the article 32 of GDPR (Security of processing) in order to protect the Partner’s Personal Data security and confidentiality, and especially to implement technical and organizational measures in order to guarantee the best suitable level of security to the risk, considering current state of knowledge, costs of implementation and the processing nature, impact, context and objectives, as well as risks, for which the degrees of probability and seriousness vary depending on physical persons rights.
No Users’ Personal Data processed in the European Economic Area (EEA) by SensioLabs or by one of our Sub-contractors could be transferred outside of the EEA without the User’s prior agreement. When such an agreement is granted by User, it must be subject to every transfer done (1) regarding the terms of a restrictive agreement and (2) regarding the implementation of appropriate guarantees. SensioLabs provides to Users at their demand every proof and/or copy of the points (1) and (2) mentioned above.
Pursuant to French statute dated January 6, 1978 titled "Informatique et Libertés", Users have the right to access, modify, object to the processing of, and request the deletion of the personal data collected or processed by SensioLabs (excepted as provided in section IV.).
Users may exercise this right by writing to SensioLabs, 163 quai du Docteur Dervaux, CS 20065, 92 665 Asnières-sur-Seine Cedex, FRANCE. Users may also modify their personal data directly from their Account.
